PRESENT SIMPLE

Usamos el presente simple para hablar sobre hechos (cosas que sabemos que son verdad en general)

The sun never sets in the east or north, it always sets in the west.

Usamos el presente simple para hablar sobre acciones que se repiten en el tiempo, para expresar frecuencia. Normalmente encontraremos adverbios de frecuencia como por ejemplo: always, never, seldom, often, regularly, every Monday....

Colin plays football regularly - every Tuesday.

Usamos el presente simple para hablar sobre acciones en el presente que pasan una detrás de la otra.

First one action takes place and then the other. Usamos el presente simple para hablar de tablas horarios, programaciónes, transporte, etc Esto normalmente se usa para hablar sobre el futuro. Presente Simple con significado de futuro. Solo para horarios de cine, transporte, teatros.....etc, programas....

NO LO USAREMOS PARA HABLAR SOBRE PLANES PERSONALES.

The plane arrives in London at 11:45.

Los verbos que expresan estados de animo, posesion, sentidos, emociones y actividad mental, serán usados en el presente simple.

Estos verbos no pueden usarse con el presente continuo.

When you love someone, that’s a state, a fact or emotion, but not an action (like running for example). Whenever you want to express a state,possession, sense or emotions, use the simple form (not the progressive). The following words all belong to this group:
